Here’s the framework that’s helped me stay grounded and keep my days running smoother for more than a decade, even when business and life get messy.
And it starts with a simple question:
What’s in your bag?

Not your gym bag. Not your backpack. Not your shopping bag.
I’m talking about your life bag; the invisible container that holds everything you care about, everything you think about, and everything you give your time and attention to.
And here’s the part most people never realise:
Your bag is always full.
The question is whether it’s full of the right things.
Let me explain.
☕ Your Life Is a Bag of Coffee Beans
If you’ve seen our Coffee DRS beans on the counter, you know every bag has:
- a shape
- a limit
- a purpose
- and a specific blend
Only the right beans belong inside the bag. Anything extra just spoils the unique flavour of that blend.
Your life works the same way.
You only have so much space; so much time, energy, attention, capacity.
And everything you allow in becomes part of your daily “blend.”

Think about everything you intentionally put inside your bag:

- your goals
- your relationships
- your rest
- your creativity

Outside the bag, you’ll find everything trying to steal your time and attention:

- distractions
- low value tasks
- unnecessary obligations
- the mental clutter
- the noise
These beans don’t belong to you. They don’t add to your life’s flavour. They make it bitter.
Yet most people spend their entire day picking up beans that were never meant to be in their bag.
